As photokina 2008 approaches, Sony finally launches the much anticipated full-frame 24.6mp DSLR, A900. All Sony users will jump in joy. This will end all rumours that was circulating since PMA early this year in Las Vegas. So here we are, another player in the full-frame DSLR including Nikon and Canon. A significant price drop in full-frame DSLR will most likely happen with A900 entering the market.

Profoto has announced the Pro-8 Air line of studio strobe power packs. Available in two versions, the 1200ws Pro-8a 1200 Air recycles in 0.5 seconds at full power, while the 2400ws Pro-8a 2400 Air recycles in 0.9 seconds at full power, making them, says the company, the fastest recycling 1200ws and 2400ws packs in the world.

Guiding Light
Come Sunday mornings, as sunlight enters his kitchen and shines on the oven, Chuang Lee Jen grabs his Leica camera and captures that ephemeral moment.
Light too appears at the end of the tunnel, the 55-year-old photography veteran will probably tell you. At 14, he lost the use of his left eye and left hand during a home experiment gone awry. The optimist in him however saw the ordeal as a blessing in disguise that mellowed him down and channelled his energies into photography - his chosen craft since 1977.
